3D Virtual Tours are a complete, three-dimensional representation of a real-world location created from 2D (RGB) imagery and 3D data using a Matterport Pro 3D Camera. The Tour space can be navigated on a desktop or mobile web browser, and in virtual reality through Samsung Gear VR, Google Cardboard, or Google Daydream viewers.
Combined with our seamless hosting and 3D Showcase web player, VirtualSpaces creates a complete 3D media ecosystem for businesses to leverage 3D models of real places for many purposes including property marketing, construction, facilities management, and news/entertainment.
A space is scanned using both multiple digital cameras and infrared 3D sensors at multiple locations by a trained operator. A typical space of 2000 square feet takes approximately one hour onsite. In addition to the 360-degree Scans performed inside the space, exterior 360-degree Views can be performed to provide panoramic views of building exteriors. After offsite processing, the Tour is reviewed, edited, and desired labeling and clickable "tags" added to provide information on specific features within the space. A "Highlight Reel" is also prepared to show "still" views much like a traditional slideshow bar. The "Reel" can also be used to navigate from room to room in the Model.
The client is provided with links to both unbranded and branded Modesl which include a dollhouse view, floor plans, and the 3D Tour itself. HTML embed codes are included to facilitate embedding the Model in a web page.
VirtualSpaces "hosts" each Model on a highly reliable and secure external server system for one year as part of the cost of the Model. Hosting can be extended for a small annual fee.
Since the scanning process gathers a large amount of 3D data, VirtualSpaces can use this information to easily produce a variety of floor plans and 3D models at reasonable pricing. (see the Floorplan tab for more information). The 3D data file can be provided to clients who need an .obj file as input to 3D modeling applications and CAD software.
